Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width
I like the boot but the top opening is small and very difficult to get my foot into even though the boot seems to be a full size large once I get them on. I uesd insoles from old athletic shoes to make the boot fit my foot because I was afraid a size smaller may be impossible to get my foot in the opening.

No tongue under laces like with a sneaker, did not fit March 08, 2012

I bought it because I have a wide foot and felt that once it was unlaced and the shoe tongue was pulled down I could get it on and lace it up. To my dismay there is no tongue so was unable to get the shoe on at all. I liked the look of the shoe itself so much I decided to cut it down the center and lace it up. That works nicely. The shoe fits more like a narrow to a medium as there is a full 2 inch gap under the laces when tied where I cut it down the center.I would have appreciated knowing there was no tongue to the shoe but just one solid shoe/boot.On the other hand the shoes look neat, a reminder of the 60's and I still like them even though I had to cut them to make them fit.
Wears this shoe: Will wear when it rains here, specifically for walking through some deep puddles
