I was disappointed, even though the description for this shoe does not mention that they are "extra depth" that taking the inserts out made so little difference. I was completely unable to get my foot in the shoe with my insert in the shoe and had to return them altogether.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size
This shoe holds my orthotics and feels wonderful on my feet. The adjustable strap is always helpful when wearing orthotics as is a wide toe box.

The heel was a bit wide. The front of the shoe was wide, but comfortable---but gaped when I walked.

I was really looking for a comfortable pair of shoes that would accommodate the bunion on my right foot as well as some support on my ankles. This shoe does both. They are a bit stiff, but plenty of room for toes and bunion. I am a teacher and wear these all day long.
