Nice shoe for thin ankled people

This shoe was not made for comfort or stability. After I tried on this shoe, I could not wait to take it off and throw them back into the box. The top of the shoe was right against my ankle when tied. There was no room to bend of flex my ankles. The with was not a normal 3w shoe that I usually wear. In fact, they were so wide that I felt like I was wearing swimming flippers. I do not feel that these shoes were made for human.

What I need

I bought this shoe because I needed an extra-depth shoe after some recent surgery on my right foot, and other reviews gave this shoe top ratings for roominess and comfort. They were right. My somewhat swollen foot fits in snugly, but comfortably, even with my extra-thick orthotic insole, and my feet are pretty thick to begin with. Walking is normal and not painful. Somebody said this was a casual shoe, but it fits in pretty well with professional attire. The only thing I'm not too fond of is that the oiled leather isn't smooth and it attracts dust more readily than smooth leather, but this is a minor fault and you can clean it off pretty easily. The P.W. Minor Grand Central has smooth leather, but I didn't buy it because it wasn't quite as roomy above the arch and the ball of the foot as the Carnegie.

I like the shoe but having a narrow foot find getting the right width difficult.

Nice shoe, but not as narrow as claimed

I have narrow feet, and I purchased a "AA". When the shoe arrived it was marked "Narrow" which is really a "B" width. If you have narrow feet, the what is listed as a AA is really a B.

I bought these because they had a double A width available. I haven't worn them a whole lot, but when I do I think "Wow, these are comfortable." Well cushioned. Overall they give the impression of being very well made.
Wears this shoe: Out and about once and awhile. Can't wear them to work because I walk in mud.
