Instrument cases are containers designed for protection and portability of musical instruments. Instrument Cases are made of two parts, the outside shell for protection, and the inside of the case for support. The outside shell of the case can be soft, hard or a combination of both and can be made of many different materials but they are generally very resistant to shock and tear. The inside of the case is usually contoured and is designed to fit the instrument providing gentle compression that prevents the instrument from moving inside and maximizing shock absorption. A carrying handle and/or a shoulder strap are usually attached to Instrument Cases for better portability.
