Wish we had bought these first before buying the cheap ones. This is our second Protec music stand purchase. I had bought one for my older daughter, who is using it at school. We just bought this one for my younger daughter. They are more sturdy than the cheaper chrome ones. They also extend higher - which was important to my daughter. Worth the extra $.
