I bought a pair of blue Propet TravelWalkers before I took a trip to New York. I loved them. I liked the way they looked, the fact that they didn't add much weight to my luggage, and that they dried quickly when they'd gotten wet. And I liked the comfort, even though I recognized they didn't offer much support.I loved the TravelWalkers so much that I wore them as my daily walking shoes, and eventually ordered a second pair in black. Then I started getting pains in my left foot, which continued to get worse. I finally went to an orthopedist who told me that he didn't think the Propets were offering me enough support and to wear an orthotic (a supportive insert). I tried the orthotic and the pain stopped.I decided to see if the pain would return if I switched to a more supportive pair of walking shoes. Since I started wearing the more supportive walking shoes from another brand, the pain has not returned.I also noticed that the soles of my feet got uncomfortably cold if I stood on cold ground for any length of time in the Propets.I still wear the Propets, but only with the orthotics and only when I won't be doing a lot of walking or standing.
