I went to velcro closures when I had hip replacement surgery and these are the nicest looking shoes I have seen. They are dressier looking than the usual double straps. They were loose in the heel but inserts have solved that problem. They have been comfortable from the get go.

I got these shoes fir my Mom. She has big bunions on both feet and I hoped that these orthopaedic shoes in the largest size will fit her. But the material is stiff and will hurt her feet. It was probably not the right choice. The good part about these shoes that they are very light weight.

Myy feet are very swollen and I was having a difficult time finding a shoe for the winter that would fit. I ordered these in a 4 wide and was thrilled when I was able to easily get my feet into them. The Velcro closure is perfect as I have trouble reaching my feet to tie a shoe. The sole is heavy and offers good support. The rest of the shoe is very light and I have found them to be very comfortable.

I recently replaced my Propet Tour Walkers for these. I thought it was going to be the same comfort and support. One of the shoes was not made right. My left shoe was perfect but the right shoe was off and rubbed my toes raw. I can't wear them. I have to return them and buy the original Tour Walkers. Sorry.
