I bought these boots in extra wide and immediately loved the fit and comfort. When breaking them in I didn't subject them to wet conditions. On my recent hiking trip in New Zealand, after hiking in comfort for 13 dry, sunny days, I discovered during a rainy 14th and last day, that the boots leaked through the uppers. I didn't even walk through any standing water. My socks were soaked and I'm very disappointed.

The boot is very comfortable with the exception of the top of the boot is tight.

I have wide feet and it is difficult to find good shoes that feel great when I wear them. I had been wanting a pair of boots to keep my feet warm when in colder weather. This one is great! I have plenty of room to wear thicker socks/two to three pairs of socks in extremely cold weather. They are comfortable for longer wear, as well. I am so pleased with the comfort and size of these provide. I will definitely consider this brand of boot in the future when I am due for a new pair.
