Very classy shoes, one minor issue

I love these black suede shoes. They are as beautiful on as they look on the page, and they are amazingly comfortable. I've worn them to work for hours, walked around New York in them, and they've been great. I've had only one issue with the shoes, but I like them so much I didn't want to return them. The metal stem on the buckle keeps slipping behind the bar that it should be resting against. This of course renders the buckle useless. Either the stem is too short, or it wiggles too much from left to right, sliding then behind the bar. I've resolved the issue by squeezing the buckle together closer together, but it only lasts a few hours, and then I have to adjust them again. I worry that eventually the buckle may crack from being bent too many times. I think these problems shouldn't happen at this price point. But I still love the shoes!
Wears this shoe: I wear them both for work and evening.
