My 4 year old son loves all things sea animals, and he needed a pair of sandals to wear to the pool. Instead of flip flops, he chose this pair of sandals. Now, he wants to wear them everyday! He (and his friends) are tickled by the lips that turn purple in the sun. The brighter it is outside, the darker the purple. The heel straps are also detachable, but we've found that the sandals stay on better with the elastic straps left on. What a great shoe!
