I have chronic back and leg problems and had been wearing the New Balance 811 with my custom orthotics for years. After reading many of the negative reviews for the 812, I was hesitant to order a pair. I live in Israel and it's expensive to have the shoes shipped here and difficult to return them. When I couldn't find comfortable shoes in Israel, I ordered the 812. I am happy to report that they are as good as the 811. I did not have to "break them in" and they felt great the minute I put them on. What a relief to have shoes I can walk in!
