Product Information for Patagonia

Product Description
Tropical rain forests share at least one thing with the Patagonia Ice Cap: wet weather. For trekking and hiking in drenching conditions, our new Torrentshell provides 2.5-layer waterproof/breathable protection that's durable, lightweight and without frills. The jacket stuffs into one of two zippered handwarmer pockets (and has a clip-in loop); the hood fits snugly over a helmet, rolls down, stows away, and has a laminated visor; and the center zipper has exterior and interior storm flaps. With pit zips for added ventilation, a microfleece-lined neck and a drawcord hem.

Great Jacket
By Anonymous, from Atlanta, GA | January 20, 2013
This is a great jacket as you would expect from Patagonia. I do have the same problem as the other customer keeping the hood up on a windy day.

Keeps me dry
By Peter T, from London, UK | April 28, 2011
Overall I like the jacket and it fits perfectly and is easy to pack in my messenger bag for potentially rainy days. My only issue is that I have trouble with keeping the hood on in windy days. It is not weighted and doesn't extend far enough.

Super Rain Jacket
By Anonymous, from Tallahassee, FL | March 10, 2011
This is the second one I've bought. The first, I bought 12 years ago and it has served me well. I've used it extensively as a lightweight travel jacket, hiking and fishing jacket. It is durable, efficient, and easy to pack. The new model is lighter, has underarm vents, vertical pocket openings, inside pocket and a way to secure the hood, all worthwhile improvements.

Amazing
By Kodi, from Connecticut | May 03, 2010
Completely waterproof... the fit is amazing, especially for tall people. I'm 6'4" 185 lbs and the large fits like a dream. I tried all comparable shells from TNF, Marmot, EMS, REI, etc. and they were all too short. This one rocks. The green color is great.

Nice jacket
By Anonymous, April 30, 2010
I was worried it would be made of nylon taffeta or something. Not the case. Very nice, breathable, light weight waterproof shell. Excellent.

This is very lightweight but seems very flimsy.

Excellent Rain Coat
By Anonymous, from San Francisco | April 28, 2010
I was finding a brand new raincoat. But, some of them was useless and too expensive. When I found this jacket on the web, it looked perfect for me and the real thing also was perfect. The water proof is working well and so light and comfortable.
