The stretchy variegated-fiber fabric yields superb warmth, breathability and compressibility, along with minimal weight. Stretchy R1® under the arms and inside the collar enhances moisture-wicking, and the pliable R2 body fabric affords unrestrained movement. I like this jacket very much. I replaced my old R2. New material is much better than old as it seems to regulate better. I would like it a bit more if the body fit was more form fitting. Sleeves are good but body, for me anyway, is too loose even with a vest underneath.

I bought my first R2 3 years ago and the cuffs wore out because I wore it all the time. Patagonia fixed them for free and offered me a new jacket if I couldn't wait for them to fix mine. I had it fixed. I just bought my second R2 from ShoeBuy and it arrived faster than expected and exactly as described. I'm very happy!
