The fabric is a strong, extremely lightweight 30-denier triple-ripstop nylon; the bottom reinforced ShiftLayer fabric has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

A most useful bag - especially for travel

This is a great bag, especially for travel. It holds alot and is very compact, yet sturdy. It does make crinkle noise as nylon does, but it is an invaluable travel tool. You can throw it over either shoulder for security. It's fits nicely under plane seats. I haven't tried folding itself into it's pocket yet (as claimed) but it does fold down very nicely. It's lightweight but holds books, ipod, jacket, snack, keys, and you name it. I'm very happy I purchased this bag...it's a little pricey but I'm quite impressed with it. I expect to get alot of use with this bag.
