Footbed is Dri-Lex backed wool for temperature and moisture control, also comfy with bare feet. Side stitch construction for added strength, durability, and to help minimize the need for solvents and adhesives.

If you've been searching for a comfortable shoe for a wide foot, this may be what you've been waiting for. It has a wide toe box and pretty much no break-in period. Though I have no idea about the durability of the alpaca shell...the shoe seems very well made, if a bit pricey, even when on sale. It has a cool, but eccentric look, like Frankenstein might wear, chillin' when he was reading the Sunday Times.I would compare this to the timberland powerlounger, which I also own and recommend.

The Patagonia Larry is an amazingly comfortable boot with very nice looks and good support. I bought it as a casual shoe and when I wear it around, i often forget that I have shoes on. The wool outer and fleece inner make it a great fall, winter and early spring boot, but make it rather warm on sunnier days. When I first looked at the Larry, I thought it would have little or no support but to my surprise it is a sturdy low-cut boot. I swear by the Patagonia brand as I find it has great quality, nice workmanship and fantastic looks.
