Featuring an innovative shell material, our Down Sweater Vest is the lightest insulation we know of for staying warm in spastic alpine conditions. The minimalist design practically floats, and is so compact it stuffs into its own mesh-lined chest pocket. The shell provides wind and water protection with high tear-strength to counter the abrasion of pack straps and gear slings. For exposed bivys, the 800-fill down adds unsurpassed warmth. Includes two zippered hand pockets, lightweight coiled zippers throughout and a drawcord hem.

I bought this vest for my husband last winter. He wore it just about everytime he went outdoors and it was always in the car. It's lightweight, but suprisingly warm. It's great that is is non bulky as my husband is tall and broad shouldered and doesn't need the extra 'bulk' on his person. Perfect casual vest for a milder winter (I'm from Australia). Looks great over a t-shirt.

This is the third patagonia sweater vest that I have bought. They are whisper light yet warm and perfect for traveling as they can be used as a pillow or squished flat for packing. I have one in a yellow green and a light blue and I love them. Snuggly and cuddly yet light as a feather. Not for outside in winter.
