I was looking for a good-looking shoe to wear on those days when there's some snow or slush on the ground, but when full-out snow boots would be overkill (and too hot to wear indoors all day at work). The Patagonia Cabots are perfect! They're warm but not too hot, comfy, have a wide toe box, and are very breathable. The merino wool insole is great for wicking moisture away from the foot. The Vibram soles provide great traction in light snow, and the uppers are good-looking enough to wear at work with chinos or corduroys -- they're not at all "sneaker-ish" looking (like most other light hikers). The moccasin stitching is so cool -- I just love these!
Wears this shoe: Casual and business casual in cold and or snowy weather.

Looks and feels great! The shoe is insulated for cold days, and is better suited for winter weather. The soles have great traction for ice, snow, and soil.
