was looking for a different shoe and saw this one. I liked the look. I called in and my shoe size is 9..BUT I told the guy my birkenstocks are all 38...he suggested go up 39...well ok, I get em and I decide to keep em. Loose and just 1/2 size to big but very very comfortable. I will buy the exact same shoe only a size smaller...by next spring. Transaction & shipment was fast. YES I will order again.

I could not wear this style. They are the cutest style ever designed by Birkenstock but... the edges of the straps are so sharp and exaggerated by their narrowness. They tore up the tops of my feet. I just could not wear them. It hurt... really hurt. I even took a file to the edges but it didn't matter. There is just no way I could ever wear them to break them in. It's the first time I've ever wasted money on this brand. Sad but true.

For a Birkenstock product, these sandals are very attractive and feminine looking. My only complaint is that the straps are quite stiff and uncomfortable. Perhaps they will soften with time and wear.

I needed classy sandals and this Birkenstock Papillio is perfect. Casual or dressy it looks great with anything. The straps are thin but securely fit across your foot.If you are thinking of getting your first pair of Birkenstocks, I would try the ARIZONA. They are comfortable and feel great on your feet from day one.
