Bought this sandal for a dressy look. Looks great on and can easily be worn with casual clothes or casual skirt. Very comfortable! One little note of caution; if your foot tends to be a bit wider, the straps may feel a bit tight. There isn't a lot of extra width room as the straps do fit more snug than other Birkenstock sandals.
