This is the second pair of Seranos that I have purchased and they are an outstanding shoe. I do not wear leather, so I need a great quality non-leather shoe and these are the best I have found. You have to be careful with the Soft Stag line, because not all of their shoes are of great quality, however, the Serano is a fantastic shoe that rivals any leather shoe. Also extremely comfortable.

I have rebuilt many brands of shoes over 38 years and chose J.M. vauter penny loafer because of it's excellent quality. It has high grade calf skin, fully leather lined, fine stitching, and the rubber inserts in the sole and heel for better wear and slip resistence. I'm very proud to own this stylish and elegant shoe, it's a great value, and would recommend them to a friend. Years from now I know they will be easily rebuilt (if needed).Though it's made in India there is nothing substandard about it. Affordable.

These shoes are not made very well. After wearing them for a couple of weeks, they became very loose. After wearing them for a month, they are almost unwearable now since they are that loose!

Durability is an issue

I bought this shoe because I'm a huge Deer Stag fan. It feels great out of the box but with the 3 different pairs I've bought, the same issue keeps happening with the seams pulling apart at the heel upper. In the past I've always used my finger to simply slip the shoe on but with this issue I purchased a shoe horn to try and solve the issue. Unfortunately, the same thing continues to happen.
