Orthofeet Women's Fisherman shoes combine biomechanical features with summer comfort and chic. Breathable, stretchy fabric provides relaxed fit in the forefoot, and eases pressure on bunions and hammer-toes. Their unique orthotic support, excellent cushioning, extra room and comfort detailing offer relief for heel-pain, arch-pain and forefoot discomfort, and provide extra protection for diabetic or arthritic feet. Approved by Medicare to meet the requirements of the Diabetic Shoe Bill. Soft Nubuck leather upper with stretchable fabric mesh shapes to the contours of the foot, easing pressure on bunions and hammer toes. Ortho-Step® multi-layer insole cradles the foot, providing customized support along with excellent shock absorption. It offers relief for heel pain and foot discomfort, making every step you take extremely comfortable. Wide, lightweight cushioning sole with Ergonomic-Stride construction enhances comfort and stability, and assists the body to propel. Soft fabric lining with extra foam padding enhances comfort and protects the foot against irritations. Anatomical design, with added depth and a wide toe box, insures a relaxed fit and freedom for toe movement. Two sets of removable spacers (2mm and 3mm thick) allow the adjustment of the space inside the shoe for a perfect fit. Material Content: Nubuck leather and fabric mesh upper. Polyester upper lining. EVA insole covered with leather.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I purchased this shoe because I have had heel pain and gout occasionally over the last several years. This shoe comes with a good insole with arch support and has enough give to accomodate swollen feet and toes. I have another Orthofeet shoe that I wear almost daily and love the comfort for my problem feet. I intend to wear this style mostly in the warmer weather, as an alternative to sandals, which I cannot wear comfortably. I would recommend this shoe to anyone with tender, swollen feet who need extra depth and the comfort of a supportive shoe.

Having recently had foot surgery, I was looking for a comfortable shoe that would accommodate some swelling of my foot (the Velcro strap makes them adjustable). The Women's Orthofeet 872 fit great from the moment I put them on. I wear them to work, shop, any place I don't want to wear sneakers. They are supportive enough (without looking like clumsy shoes) to wear on my daily walks on uneven terrain. I followed the advice given in the description to order a 1/2 size larger and am satisfied with the fit.

Orthostep's 872 shoes are quite attractive. Unfortunately, I'm going to return them. They put too much pressure on my bunions.

Having enjoyed wearing a pair of Mary Janes by Orthofeetfor the past four months, I ordered these for variety's sake. My feet feel pampered the instant I put them on (I take 11 wide, with a massive orthotic inside), They are truly a treat to wear and much more stylish than ordinary walking shoes. I love the suede texture and the non-skid soles.
Wears this shoe: all the time, except in the shower.

I am pleased with this shoe. I can take out the insole so I can wear my orthotics. I think it would have been a little better if the strap fit under the tongue instead of over it. They have a good enough arch that I can wear them without my inserts.
