Product Description (Women's Orthofeet 851)
Provides the comfort of a breathable sandal in a Mary Jane look. Advanced two-way fastening system allows adjustability for a perfect fit. Constructed on an anatomical last, with extra width across the midfoot and toe-box. 1/2" heel height (the difference between heel and forefoot).
Extra Depth: 3/8". Two Removable spacers in 2mm and 3mm thick are included. Cushioning sole, made of light weight EVA midsole and rubber outsole. Hidden depth construction.
Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

Ideal shoes for an ideal mother December 05, 2012

My 97-year-old mother has feet that appear "gnarled" from many years of wear and tear: dancing 4 or 5 nights a week for several years, wearing high heels in a demanding office job for more and 40 years, etc. She has great difficulty finding any shoes that do not hurt her feet. I saw these Orthofeet 851's in the podiatrist's office brochure and decided to try them. She has not complained once since she put them on! She says, "It's like wearing house shoes." Thank you so much. As an extra bonus, they are attractive as well! We'll never buy her any others again.

I have never enjoyed a shoe as much as this one. I never wanted to buy ortho-shoes thinking they were so ugly. But with my Achilles problem, I finally gave in and ordered the most attractive style I could find. The fit is wonderful; true to size. Besides having received many compliments, they have really helped me with my foot problem. I have suggested them to many people in physical therapy. This Mary Jane type can be worn with most types of clothes. They are definitely not an ugly shoe!!!!!

Great support. Most comfortable shoes in my closet. I have them in black and light gray. They can be worn all year round in Florida. They are attractive enough with or without matching socks for ladies middle age and up. Two of my doctors recommend them and so do I.

Wish there were more colors available. Really need to add those foam orthotics that come with the shoe especially if you wear them all day. I would like the mesh to be wider so that my toes can breathe better without socks or hoisery. Still, not a bad shoe at all.
