I spend so much time on my feet and these shoes were wonderful. Feels like slippers on my feet. I am sold .couldn't wear my orthodic, but shoe provides a solid base and the orthodic wasn't missed. My orthodic squeaked too much in this shoe

I have very wide feet and find it extremely hard to find comfortable shoes. These Orthofeet shoes were comfortable from the moment I put them on. This is due to the orthotic insole, the adjustable straps and the wide foot bed. I haven't worn the shoes much yet because it is August and very hot right now. (I am wearing my Propet WPED 13 sandals at this time, the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.) I also want to save the Orthofit shoes to wear in the fall and winter when I will need the warmth of a closed-in shoe. I have back problems and, after wearing the Orthofit shoes for a few hours two days in a row, my back hurt more than usual, but not my feet! This may be due to the fact that the shoes set my feet on a different angle than my sandals and I will have to adjust to that; these shoes push my feet forward a little. However, my back pain may have nothing to do with the shoes but to my activities during those days. I also like the fact that these shoes are more stylish than most of the other Orthofeet shoes. I don't like shoes that come up high on the foot like sneakers. The Orthofeet 817 shoes look like loafers, a style I have never found comfortable in the past because loafers were always too tight. Also, I wear dresses most of the time and loafers look much better with dresses than clunky shoes. I hope that the company decides to make this style in brown and in other colours as well as in black.

I love these shoes!!! They have removable insoles and easily accomodate orthopedic inserts. However, the insoles that come with these shoes are great and I use them often. If you want comfort you can not go wrong with these shoes even if you are on your feet all day!! Please remember to order a half size larger than what you would normally wear. I normally wear an 8.5 Wide so I ordered the 9 Wide and it's a perfect fit.

These are great shoes. I have fibromyalgia and I always dread breaking in a new pair of shoes because it will result in leg cramps & a pain flare-ups as my body adjusts to the new shoes. I had no break-in period with these shoes. The second time I wore them was at jury duty. The elevators were insufficiently sized for the number of jurors and so I went up & down the stairs 10 times or so during the day with absolutely no pain.
