I suffer from gout in both feet and have gotten to a point where I was in need of finding shoes that helped with walking and the after effects of walking. Since I have been wearing these shoes I have noticed a considerable difference in the amount of discomfort I was having. I still have much pain but I think the thing that it helped with the most is the sensitive skin issue. I also started wearing diabetic socks. The two combined seem to create a greatly improved comfort level. There is one issue that I don't like, and that is that the side straps when Velcroed are longer then the Velcro area and curl up a bit.

Possible quality control issue or maybe its my feet. Shoe is comfortable on the bunions, but I have to close the strap down all the way on both left and right 571 shoe. The top of one shoe bunches up a little compared to the other. I also previously bought model 572, which don't do this, but they seemed about 1/2 size too large for me. When I bought the 571, I ordered a 1/2 smaller.
