Orthofeet crafts these shoes for men with advanced athletic shoes technology, offering anatomical orthotic support, excellent cushioning, extra room and comfort detailing. They offer relief for heel-pain, arch-pain and forefoot discomfort, and provide extra protection for diabetic or arthritic feet. Approved by Medicare to meet the requirements of the Diabetic Shoe Bill.
Soft leather offers a comfortable non-binding fit, easing pressure on bunion and hammer toes. Ortho-Step® multi-layer insole cradles the foot, providing customized support along with excellent shock absorption. It offers relief for heel pain and foot discomfort, making every step you take extremely comfortable. Wide, lightweight cushioning sole with Ergonomic-Stride construction enhances comfort and stability, and assists your body to propel.
Soft fabric lining with extra foam padding enhances comfort and protects the foot against irritations. Anatomical design, with added depth and a wide toe box, insures a relaxed fit and freedom for toe movement.
Two sets of removable spacers (2mm and 3mm thick) allow the adjustment of the space inside the shoe for a perfect fit. Strap closure with hook and loop fastener offers adjustability and easy on/ off. It has a leather upper, and polyester upper lining. The EVA insole is covered with leather.

It's a good looking shoe with sturdy and good support. I bought them for my 78 year old father who has Parkingson's; he shuffles his feet and uses a walker and falls easily.

The orthofeet 510 series of shoe is a great shoe over-all. The only dislike I have is with the velcro. After repeated use, the velcro fails to stick. The shoe is still in great shape when the velcro fails. I usually have to take it to a shoe repair place to get the velcro replaced. I have multiple pairs of this shoe. I had a stroke and wear a brace on my left leg and this shoe works well in accomodating the brace and has enough room in the toe to be comfortable.

My husband has severe peripheral neuropathy in his feet, and is alsoa diabetic. He has tried many pairs of "diabetic" shoes but while someof them fit, some are really unattractive and make his size 14 foot lookeven bigger. He was so pleased to actually receive compliments on hisnew shoes, and to see that they made his feet look more normal andeven a little smaller! He has worn them for several weeks now and saidthey are very comfortable. I'm ordering him another pair in a differentcolor.

First time I've bought this model but am a repeat buyer of other Orthofeet models - hoping to be just as satisfied.The depth & width of the shoe is the determining factor for me. I wear the shoes for work and as I something have to go formal (suit etc) it would be great to see a model which presents somewhat more "dressy".
