Orthofeet crafts these shoes for men with advanced athletic shoe technology, offering anatomical orthotic support, excellent cushioning, extra room and comfort detailing. They offer relief for heel-pain, arch-pain and forefoot discomfort, and provide extra protection for diabetic or arthritic feet. Approved by Medicare to meet the requirements of the Diabetic Shoe Bill.
Soft nubuck leather offers a comfortable non-binding fit, easing pressure on bunion and hammer toes. Ortho-Step® multi-layer insole cradles the foot, providing customized support along with excellent shock absorption. It offers relief for heel pain and foot discomfort, making every step you take extremely comfortable. Wide, lightweight cushioning sole with Ergonomic-Stride construction enhances comfort and stability, and assists your body to propel.
Soft fabric lining with extra foam padding enhances comfort and protects the foot against irritations. Anatomical design, with extra added depth and a wide toe box, insures a relaxed fit and freedom for toe movement.
Two sets of removable spacers (2 mm and 3 mm thick) allow the adjustment of the space inside the shoe for a perfect fit. Speed lacing system allows for easy closure and a secure fit. Nubuck leather upper, polyester upper lining. The EVA insole is covered with leather. It has a rubber outsole.

I'm always looking for comfortable and reasonably priced 4E shoes, so I thought I'd try the Orthofeet brand. These really fit the bill. They are relatively light and were extremely comfortable from the moment I put them on. I've worn them almost every day for 3 or 4 weeks now and have no complaints. If they hold up well over the next year, I would definitely buy this brand again.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. It is hard to find shoes that are wide enough by the ball of the foot and not too wide at the heel. These fit perfectly.

Mens Orthofeet 440 used as bunion-forgiving walking shoes

Very comfortable shoe, seem a little heavier than I am used to(I am using as a walking shoe), but appear to be high quality, and easy on the bunion when used with a shield. I usually wear a medium width, but am using it with a bunion shield, so ordered a wide width; and am using double socks (Gold Toes) on the other foot. I have no bunion problems at all with this arrangement, walking 3-1/2 miles per day. It might be that I wouldn't require the bunion shield with these shoes and a fairly heavy pair of socks, haven't tried that.
