I love my Merrell Trail Gloves. These are even lighter and feel even more like going barefoot. My only concern is that they are so lightweight I wonder if they will be as durable as the Trail Gloves.I wear a 12 in all other Merrell shoes. I needed to exchange these for an 11 1/2. Shoebuy made that easy.

Shoe is nice looking and extremely comfortable. Vibram soles are durable and good for light climbing on slippery surfaces. Unfortunately, shoes seem to be hastily made with glue where it's not supposed to be and what looks like paint overspray on small portions of the shoe. I miss when most New Balance shoes were made in the US, the workmanship was much better. One of the shoes was put together a little off, so there is some bunching of the material at the instep. If it were much worse I would have returned them for another pair, and probably should have from the beginning. I'm a little skeptical of some of the materials used in the shoes construction being able to endure rough wear and being able to last. There is a black felt like material that is already lightly pilling. I have only worn them a few times so I can't be sure of how well they will hold up. I also can't say that they would be worth the retail price, but then again I didn't pay that for them.
