These slippers start out feeling snug, but eventually form to the shape of your feet. They are really comfortable once they are broken in. The laces drive me crazy though. Even in double knots they don't stay tied and I've tripped too many times. I ended up cutting them off.

I needed some comfortable house shoes and what I got were something radically different than what I expected. I received the best darn shoe I've ever owned. First, the construction of this shoe is pretty impressive. I see so many discount stores sell house slippers for $5 - $10. I used to buy them annually... until now. Good bye cheap stuff, hello quality stuff. Those discount store shoes are made of slippery hard plastic soles. This shoe uses grippy rubber sole that remind me of my Doc Martins from my college years at East TN State Univ. in the 90's - oh the good years!Next, you can't help but realize that shoe is warm. Heck, my dog (a hairless Chinese Crested) pretty much wanted to be betrothed to it the first night it arrived. Finally, the shoe just fits right. It conforms to your foot and gives the right amount of support on your arches.Again, this is top notch material. The leather has a supple quality feel and doesn't feel like cheap hide from road carcasses. I have enjoyed this shoe (and I think my dog secretly has too when I am away). Would I recommend it? No. I am HIGHLY recommending it. Enjoy!

I have foot problems, must wear special orthotics and require a size not normally carried. We found shoebuy.com and they carry the size I need. I am able to insert the orthotics into these slippers and they are very sturdy yet comfortable.
