Oasis Bodin
My First Orthotic shoe
February 21, 2013
Reviewer: Gary from St. Charles, MO
At 60 years old, needing more supportive shoe. Very comfortable and supportive, but I needed to use an over-the-counter insert for a bit more arch support as I do in all my shoes. Bought both brown and black. Black much more attractive; the brown color is strange. I might risk polishing that pair with Cordovan polish (have done this with other shoes, but it's risky.) Bought the shoes during a Shoebuy promotion, very happy with results so far, and a great buy. You can take out the inserts and put in your own custom orthotics--shoe is deep and should accomodate mild to moderate inserts. Found that I had to get used to less feel of brake and accel pedals while driving, but not a major issue. Walking in this shoe feels like a gentle foot massage. Great first step in the orthotic, "sensible shoes" direction.

Have found a shoe that helps with my matalargsha (ball of foot pain) I put a moldable arch support and it has been pretty good. I have tried many pairs of shoes and this is the best.
Wears this shoe: All the time during cold weather. I am retired.
