This comfortable oxford features a padded tongue and collar with a pigskin collar lining, a removable footbed, a removable EVA spacer, a reinforced toe box and a durable rubber outsole. It has a full-length CMEVA midsole, gel cushioning pads in the forefoot, and Foot Cradle Technology that stabilizes the rear foot and compliments the flexibility of the shoe's forefoot. My First Orthotic shoe February 21, 2013

At 60 years old, needing more supportive shoe. Very comfortable and supportive, but I needed to use an over-the-counter insert for a bit more arch support as I do in all my shoes. Bought both brown and black. Black much more attractive; the brown color is strange. I might risk polishing that pair with Cordovan polish (have done this with other shoes, but it's risky.) Bought the shoes during a Shoebuy promotion, very happy with results so far, and a great buy. You can take out the inserts and put in your own custom orthotics--shoe is deep and should accomodate mild to moderate inserts. Found that I had to get used to less feel of brake and accel pedals while driving, but not a major issue. Walking in this shoe feels like a gentle foot massage. Great first step in the orthotic, "sensible shoes" direction.

Roomy and comfortable. I have put in my soft orthotic for high arch, and still a good fit. Also, the shoe is good looking enough to wear with men's dress clothes -- suit and tie or sport coat.
Wears this shoe: Home, work. Have not tried exercise walking yet.
