Nomad

In 1997, two shoe salesmen wandered from city to city, store to store, inspired by an idea that would transcend into something they never thought imaginable. Their dream was to build a brand that would represent the free-spirited individual; the individual who followed trends and appreciated fashion, but never forgot who they truly were. Hence, Nomad was born; representative of their own ideals, as well as the nomadic attitude that lives within each "nomad" girl. Being one of the pioneers of the high EVA foam sandal, Nomad Footwear journeyed from the junior fashion market, making its mark in the shoe industry. Since then, Nomad Footwear has transformed its styles to shoes like the Cork Wedge, creating styles that could be worn by any girl, day or night. The logo of the little red man encompasses the ideals of Nomad Footwear. Like the vibrantly colored historical figure, Nomad Footwear has continued stay true to the origins of their company, passionately striving to create shoes that not only provide comfort, but also original styles and versatility to all of its loyal customers. Creating fashionable sandals, flip flops, flats and rain boots that any free spirited-girl would love to journey in, it?s no wonder why people everywhere choose to "wander off and be a Nomad..."

Awe...happy feet!
By Lisa, from San Jose, CA | July 09, 2014

Had these a few years back and am glad they are still around. These shoes are a notch above most in the comfort meter, they last a long time, are very comfortable (esp. since I have flat feet and snapped and dislocated my tibia/fibula at the base of my ankle few years back). Try avoid getting them wet. If I recall, when they do the insole gets a weird squishy feel and predict this accelerates the stretching of the thong portion of this shoe.

These are my new go to everyday sandal. Very comfy, not too high and really no break in time required. Love them.

Nice yellow rubber boots
By Judy, from Pittsburgh, PA | June 30, 2014

I ignored the recommendation to get one size smaller, because I have wide feet and the boots didn't come in wide. I was happy with that decision because I would MUCH rather have boots a little too long than too tight. I wore them to go fossil hunting, which involved crossing a creek multiple times. My feet stayed dry AND comfy. Plus the cute yellow boots looked like I was wearing a ray of sunshine on my feet.

  • Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked
  • Shoe Width: Felt true to width
  • Wears this shoe: I wore the boots to cross streams, and in a rain storm.

Fun and Functional
By Marsha, from Quakertown, PA | June 21, 2014

I ordered these boots because I needed something waterproof and high when taking my dogs out on the wet grass (mainly, when it needs to be cut). They are very funky looking (I picked an animal print) and work well. I ordered my regular size and they are big. So far, I have not worn them with socks which will take up some of the slack. The way they are made, even being a bit big, they won't come flying off. They are also very comfortable on my feet which is very important to me. I will likely find other reasons to wear them than just walking my dogs because they are so cute.

  • Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked
  • Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked
  • Wears this shoe: For now outdoors, mainly in wet grass. Will use them for other purposes, too.

I love the style of the rain boot. Needed a half size larger due to the pointed toe.
