I liked the fact that this shoe was made from a decent grade of leather and not man-made materials, which will make a childs foot sweat. I was also happy with the padding on the back of the ankle strap that has made wearing a new shoe easy. No break in discomfort. This shoe was very easy for my 3 year old daughter to take on and off herself. Her teachers love the fact that she can put her own shoe on and off too! The only thing I don't care for is the white sole. When you walk outside they get black and grimy very quickly. The nubby no slip bottom makes cleaning them a bit tricky. But if that kind of thing doesn't bug you, this is a wonderfully crafted shoe. Lots of cushion on the footbed.
