Keyboard Cases are containers designed for carrying, protecting or safely storing an electric keyboard. Keyboard Cases are made of two parts, the outside shell for protection, and the inside of the case for support. The outside shell of the case can be hard or lightweight and can be made of many different materials but they are generally very resistant to shock and tear. Hard cases have casing frames made of injected molded polyethylene or plywood veneer with a foam-padded interior. Lightweight keyboard cases are a hybrid of a hard case and a gig bag. The case is usually constructed of hard thick foam covered in nylon or polyester. These Keyboard Cases may include adjustable padded interior straps to hold the keyboard in place. Storage pockets can be included to store cables and other accessories. The weight of the instrument wheels and a carrying handle are integrated into Keyboard Cases to make transport easier.
