Product Description (Women's New Balance WW967)

This rugged Country Walker features rich waterproof materials for light outdoor activities and foul weather protection. The 967 has ABZORB® cushioning in both the heel and forefoot for exceptional shock absorption. The C-CAP® midsole provides additional cushioning and support. The Stability Web® delivers midfoot support and reduces the weight of the shoe. This shoe also features a premium foam insert that offers high density, open-cell foam to gently conform to the foot and disperse pressure. The dual density collar uses both a softer density foam against the foot for cushioning, and a firmer density foam for support.

These are fantastic shoes. They are light weight, supportive and have a lot of cushioning. New Balance shoes are well made. Love the fact they are waterproof. Great tread. I can walk, walk, and walk, in these shoes!!!
Wears this shoe: Casual wear and also to work on jeans days.

Pretty comfortable. But laces don't stayed tied! So far kept me pretty dry too.

It needs a little breaking in, but is for the most part, comfortable. Wearing medium to heavier weight socks tends to be uncomfortable on my little toe as it is pressing against a side seam/stitching and putting to much pressure on top of my foot from the padded tongue. Wearing lighter weight socks seems to improve the situation. I often need an arch support added to any shoe on top of the shoe's original insert, I have a very narrow foot, AAA, which is nearly impossible to find a good walking-casual shoe in that width. I tried a few different inserts, all of them making the shoe very tight against the padded tongue. I tried removing the original insert and adding the arch support which still didn't work for me. In the end, I've found with the original insert and lighter weight socks, that the shoe is comfortable enough to walk a couple to few miles. The shoes keeps my feet warm and dry. It does run a half size larger than my normal shoe size of 8.5.Living in the country, I was looking for a walking shoe that was waterproof to handle the fall and winter weather. This shoe performs well on gravel and has good traction. My best comfort comes from AAA width, but New Balance AA shoes have supplied me with comfortable tennis-walking shoes over the years. This shoe is slightly different for me and seems to be taking a little longer to get used to. The more I wear it, the more comfortable it becomes. This shoe is a very good product.

This is a comfortable shoe for my foot, but it may not work for everyone. The padded back of the shoe is quite high, so it might rub against the back of the foot/calf. My toes are short - someone with longer toes might need to buy a half size larger. But so far, I have found them to be roomy and they provide good support for walking.
Wears this shoe: Walking in an urban setting. Hope to use it for some light hiking as well.

Sadly I had to return this shoe because it just wasn't me. I thought I would try a hiking shoe for a change and it didn't work out well. I prefer a shoe with a little more" give" such as a walking or running shoe. This shoe looks good and appeared to be well-made. As previous reviewers noted, you will need to order a half-size larger than you usually wear. Shoebuy processed my return the same day and I'm waiting for my replacement shoes now.
