Great shoe. Only drawback is because they are waterproof, the tongue is a bit thick and can rub your foot until you figure out how to tie it to suit you. Otherwise, shoe is comfortable, sturdy and fun.

I have been suffering with heel spurs for about 5 months. I am diabetic and my doctor suggested I purchase a new balance shoe so.... I started looking. I found the perfect shoe! I needed a waterproof shoe that was not heavy. The New Balance 966WW was a great buy for me. My foot doesn't hurt as much at work now and I am hoping after a monmth of wearing them my foot won't hurt at all. I have recommended these to my co-workers & friends who suffer as I do.

I wanted a lightweight hiking shoe with a sole good for general hiking and for going downhill in areas with lots of small pebbles. At first, the lace eyelets bothered the top of my foot, but after a few days' use, the shoes became quite comfortable. They are much lighter weight than my heavy-duty hiking boots and have been great for everyday use besides hiking. For even more comfort, wool socks have helped with a little extra cushion and for cool or wet weather. (If it gets very wet and muddy, though, I opt for my heavier, taller hiking boots instead, because the mud sometimes gets too deep for these.) The tread on the heel area is wearing down a bit now from wearing them so much. I will probably buy another pair of these NB WW966 soon. They are lightweight, comfortable, and versatile. These have been my favorite shoes the past few months!

I'm very happy with my purchase of this shoe in a half size larger than I normally order. Diagnosed as having heel spurs in two very different parts of my foot, it is really important for me to have a shoe that fits comfortably yet provides the extra heel space I need now. The New Balance WW 966 does that perfectly. Also the waterproof feature has truly been tested and performed well here in the Metro NY area where it's been one of the rainiest Junes on record!I love New Balance shoes because I'm guaranteed good support and comfort at a good price.

I love the fit, the look, the color. Not ones that had been returned. Because of a medical condition I need New Balance and I am always looking for something new.
