I have short (5.5 American), very bad, difficult-to-fit feet with extremely high arches (they don't even touch the ground on the outside) with a very wide ball and an extremely narrow heel. And I ran a nail through the ball of my right foot when I was a kid, and there is a lump of scar tissue that can irritate or even bruise the inside of my foot. But the New Ballance WW575VK manages to fit quite well out of the box and doesn't pinch anywhere, which is a minor miracle; I often have to have new shoes stretched in various places. The upper is also quite attractive--some competing models look too much like orthopedic shoes, and these don't.
Wears this shoe: Most of the time, even with casual business (slacks) attire.

Shoe width is very important to me and this shoe fits! I don't really like the insole (not cushy enough) and will be replacing it.

Sorry, it took so long to reply but I just pick them up at my friends on Tuesday, went down for a couple days. I love the shoes, light, yet great walking shoe, went shopping with then on as soon as I got them and it was like walking on a cloud. No complaint's from me.

I have worn these shoes for at least 6 years. It is hard to find a wide in my size of 5 1/2 and the arch fits my foot perfectly. I walk at least 2 miles a day and wear these shoes with an insert. My legs and feet are never sore which was a problem before finding this shoe.
