Great shoe August 26, 2011

I bought this shoe because it's hard to find a stylish black fitness shoe for women. I find that most of them look kind of clunky. This shoe looks stylish and sleek on the foot, they look like a womans' fitness shoe should look. I walk about 1 1/2 hrs 5-6 times a week and these shoes are great for that. I felt I needed good quality shoes for my walks.

Light weight for walking June 24, 2011

I bought these for the gym and have worn them only twice, the first time on a 5km+ charity power walk. Great for walking because they are so light and supportive but they did become a bit hot by the end of the walk. In the gym for the second wear they were wonderful on the treadmill but otherwise feel big (not the fit, the style)compared to my usual compact-style gym shoes. These are the first ones I have with a deeper sole and they are more comfortable for a workout. I am sure I will get over the feeling of clumsiness as I get used to them. It was a good idea to buy a half-size bigger to accommodate the gym socks.

I have worn nothing but New Balance for 3 years, doctor's orders because of heel spurs. The shoes that I've worn for years were discontinued. The leather is nice and soft and easy on my corn. If you need to put in insoles I would by them in wider than usual. I am ordering another pair in wider size.

If you have Planter Faciitiis, these are not the shoes for you. February 27, 2011
Reviewer: New Balance Fan from Midwest
Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked
Likes: stylish for a black sneaker, not bulky Dislikes: felt smaller than marked, shoestrings were short, and aggravate my Plantar Fasciitis (after I wear them, I can't walk) I always purchase New Balance shoes, but the toning shoes make my ankles swell and aggravate my Plantar Fasciitis.

There was a flaw February 18, 2011

I am wearing the shoes today for the first time. they were not cheap and I noticed the laces on one of them seemed short. Well, I checked and one lace has been cut off and the little plastic thing on the end of the lace is gone. Not sure what happened there but can you send me a new lace for it? I will never match it myself.
