The lightweight, fashion-forward 1100 is the new pulse of the wellness movement; whether you lace them up because they look great or for the health benefit, you're in for a comfortable ride. It combines ACTEVA ULTRA LITE midsole cushioning with a 3/4-length TPU leaf spring system and a rounded blown rubber outsole, all working together to tone muscles and burn more calories. The seamless Phantom liner™ reduces the weight of the shoe plus enhances the comfort and fit and the premium foam insert offers high density, open-cell foam to gently conform to the foot and disperse pressure.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I walk a great deal from one city school site to another, and then I'm on my feet in the schools--with this shoe, my feet didn't get tired. And the shoes don't look like sneakers, so I don't feel out of place. Please make more like this!

I need to walk, ordered black, followed advice re: sizing -- extremely comfortable from first moment I put on. They make me WANT to walk! I blacked out with waterproof black magic marker - so far, so good. Hope this walker will be continued - would like lighter color for summer.

I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and my orthodics fit. I wanted something plainer then a regular athletic shoe, not a lot of stripes, in black. I read the reviews and thought I'd give them a try. You can't even feel that they are toning shoes. They are sooooooo comfortable, I just love them and I am getting another pair.

Have had at least 5 or 6 pairs of New Balance previously and all fit perfectly. Ordered the same size but the 1100 are much too tight. Made the mistake of not sending them back before wearing them the first time.
Wears this shoe: very, very seldom with extra thin socks

When I first tried on this shoe, I thought the fit was all wrong. I had ordered a half-size larger than usual, yet when I tried it on, it felt extremely tight in the toe.But as I wore it around the house, I realized that the suede-like material stretches. It molds itself to fit your foot. So, these shoes actually turned out to be quite comfortable. Be aware that if you like thick socks, this shoe will feel very tight.I wish they had skipped the shiny purple details...They look like a kid's shoe!
