Abzorb DTS

Abzorb Dynamic Transition System (DTS) combines Abzorb foam and Abzorb SBS to provide optimal cushioning and a smooth transition on heel strike. The DTS System when combined with one of New Balance's premium engineered foam midsoles offers an optimal ride. Abzorb foam and Abzorb SBS are interlocked together and applied to the midsole. The soft Abzorb, responsive Abzorb SBS and intermediate engineered foam creates a tri-layer system that is fine tuned to offer optimal shock absorption and a responsive transition.

Abzorb SBS

Abzorb SBS is an engineered non-cellular elastomer designed to provide optimal shock absorption and no compression set. What makes Abzorb SBS unique is the fact that it is a deformable thermoplastic material that does not have a cell structure like foam. It is also one of the lowest density non-foam thermoplastics. Extended impact testing and wear testing has shown that Abzorb SBS does not break down after repeated impacts.
