The shoe looks nice. I am not totally fond of mesh, but in the summer I hope it is cooler. The color is ok. I wear a sports orthotic which is very wide like my foot. It fits snug in this shoe and like most shoes I need to remove the soft insole to wear the shoe. This of course alters the comfort. I was hoping for really great arch support, so maybe I could go without the orthotic, but can't... Over all they are ok, a bit narrow. I have a pair of the New Balance 847 and they are plenty wide. I wear them all the time. Now if they would come up with a wonderful dress shoe that felt like a walking or running shoe..Life would be good.

This shoe is great! The heel support makes it impossible to over-pronate.

This is my second time buying this shoe. I had been wearing Sauconys for years but after plantar fasciitis, have found the NB to be better suited for me. A little more expensive but worth it. I wear an 8.5/9 regular shoe but always buy a size 10 walking/running shoe - there is room for a gel sole and a medium sock.

These shoes were wide enough for all my toes and the plastic trim and stitching on the shoes avoided all my painful places.I wish the sole was a little more cushioned but if my toes are happy so am I.

I purchased this shoe because it came in a 2A width. Oftentimes, shoes that claim to offer stability and cushioning still don't work well for me, because the medium width is still too wide to truly secure my foot. These shoes are PERFECT. I jogged in them, and my foot did not roll. The cushioning protected my foot from the pavement. I have always love NB, but the shoes are a cut above. I just purchased them, so I don't know how long they will hold up. For now, though, they are GREAT!

This shoe was comfortable as soon as I put it on; no wear-in time was needed. I love New Balance shoes and would recommend them to anyone needing a light weight, good support shoe.

Shoe felt great right out of the box. Lacks some of the cushioning and support found in other 900 series shoes like the old 992. Very stable and lightweight.

I tried these on at the New Balance store before purchasing. I have very flat feet, and these keep me comfortable while walking and jogging on a treadmill! Great purchase.

This was actually the third pair of NB 940.I originally bought them to do my walking in. They were great fitting even with my orthotics and heel cups! So,when I was looking for another pair to use for daily use, I thought why not just get another pair of 940's. I just got the third pair, because I wanted a nice clean pair to use for vacation! I love them!

I've only been wearing these shoes to workout for the past week or so, so I am still breaking them in. Overall, I really like the look of the shoe and support in the arch (I am an overpronator, so I am always researching my gym shoes before buying). My only complaint is that it feels a bit loose in the front. I've tried tightening the laces, but can't get a snug fit in that front area. I feel like my toes are able to stretch out a bit too much for my liking in a crosstrainer shoe. Otherwise, so far so good. I'm thinking my toes will get used to the extra real estate, but I probably should have tried these on first before buying. Might have led me to a different purchase.

I needed to find good motion-control sneakers for running for my flat feet. These sneakers are awesome. There is no more pain in my feet and shins.
