Running is both a competition and a type of training for sports that have running or endurance components. As a sport, it is split into events divided by distance and sometimes includes permutations such as the obstacles in steeplechase and hurdles. Running races are contests to determine which of the competitors is able to run a certain distance in the shortest time. Today, competitive running events make up the core of the sport of athletics. Events are usually grouped into several classes, each requiring substantially different athletic strengths and involving different tactics, training methods, and types of competitors.
Trainers are a type of athletic footwear designed for use in training or during the performance of a specific sport or physical activity. Trainers encompass a wide range of specified footwear designed to enhance the ability to train or participate in sports. Trainers often include comfort features to protect the foot and ankle in activity. Extra cushioning and arch support are commonly found as additional enhancements of these athletic shoes.

I am dissatisfied with this pair of new balance shoes !!The quality is not as good as all the other new balance shoes I have purchased over the years .. They look like a spin off of the real thing .the no. on the heel is painted on to the shoe ,all other ones I have is embroidered on a small pc. of leather and inserted in the heel ....The leather upper is not the quality I am wanting in my shoes ...

New Balance W890v3 Comfortable Light Weight Trainer

This shoe is extremely comfortable for a light weight trainer. It has just the right amount of cushion and support while still being lightweight. Just put them on and go! you'll love this shoe if you're looking for a neutral, light weight shoe that can handle speed work and long runs. Note: I usually order a half size larger for running shoes (vs. my regular shoe size), but with these shoes I had to order my regular shoe size. They seem to run a little large.

I was looking for a minimalist shoe and I like that this shoe is somewhere in between. It still gives some support but not bulky like a lot if other running shoes.
