I bought this shoe to replace a pair of New Balance 642's which I wore out. They fit right out of the box with no need for break in. I use the the shoes for general purpose activities. I explore the desert by Jeep and often exit the the Jeep on a steep grade to explore. The 955's have good traction on difficult terrain. Haven't found anything that I don't like.

Great shoe. I really like the stability it gives when walking over uneven surfaces. Feels more like a serious hiking boot than shoe, without the weight or confined ankle.
