Product Description (Men's New Balance MW846)
The 846 is the ultimate walking shoe featuring a breathable upper and a rollbar designed specifically for walking.
ROLLBAR® technology with medial and lateral TPU posts provides ultimate motion control, and the Walking Strike Path® technology stabilizes the foot through the natural gait cycle.
This shoe features an Ortholite® foam insert that delivers long-term comfort, breathability and odor resistance. The entire midsole is made of ABZORB® FL for unique lightweight shock absorption.
The solid rubber N-Durance® outsole provides long-wearing durability, and the LIGHTNING DRY® liner keeps your feet dry and comfortable as you train. This shoe also has a 3M reflective detail for increased safety and visibility.
Fit: This style tends to run narrow. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

This New Balance Performance Walker is very good! April 01, 2012

Very happy with this shoe and they are made in the USA...! Normally, I always buy NB in a half size larger, because they run on the small side but this shoe runs true to size. I still got a 10.5 and I wear a 10 so I could wear thicker walking socks, like Thorlo's which work very well and wear like iron. I also ordered a 2EE instead of a D so my foot could spread out and not be constricted and my toes not pinched and it's perfect! This combination of size and socks really works for serious walking. I personally have found that a shoe that has room works much better than a shoe that is tight and restrictive, especially in the toe area, at least that seems to work for me. Highly recommend this New Balance shoe it is light and supportive and made for walking!
Wears this shoe: Walking in mornings, 4 miles.

I am throughly satisfied with the walking shoe. My right foot is slightly larger than my left and the shoes fit perfectly. I have looked in several shoe stores for a walking shoe as I have always worn a running shoe while walking (power/speed walking) and the running shoes do not offer the support that I felt I needed. I will definitely purchase another pair when these wear out although I will buy the blue pair next time as everyone wants to step on my new white pair.

Light weight, nice level of support and true to width. The fabric can be waterproofed so they can be worn in light rain without my feet getting soaked.
Wears this shoe: At the gym and have a pair for neighborhood walks.
