I have been purchasing this shoe for about 6 years now. I first tried this New Balance style at the suggestion of my Orthopedic surgeon. Both my knees needed to be replaced and this shoe was the only shoe that never wore out and supported my ankles, knees and back. The "anti-roll" insert prevented the usual wear to the soles that lead to an uneven stance. I have never worn out the soles! The rest of the shoe wore out. At first, I would try to get a year out of them but I think its better to have a couple of pairs and swap them from time to time for better support. I purchase a new pair every 6-8 months now as I wear them daily. I order from Shoe-Buy as the local New Balance stores no longer seem to carry the 844 style.

I can not thank you enough for putting this shoe on the market. It is truly a comfortable and good looking shoe. We have purchased more than one pair and will order them again.I do not wear them, but my husband cannot be without them.

This is my second pair of New Balance Model 844's.I walk my dogs two to four leagues daily and need a good comfortable walking shoe. New Balance's Model 844's fit true to size.
