My Size was Out, So I went a different Route March 12, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width
I've exclusively bought New Balance M587's for the last few years and loved them. But when it came time to replace them, they were sold out of my size. So I went with the MR817, which offer many of the same benefits. Still getting used to them, but I think they will do the job just as well. My trainer friend also endorsed these, so that made me feel like I had made a good decision.

Inside Broken Down December 28, 2011

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width
Great fit true to size. Like the style. Only had this shoe for about a month or so and the inside seems to be broken down to the point that I can feel the ridges of the sole on the bottom of my foot. I realize that my 300lb frame is tough on any pair of shoes, but this is uncomfortable. I liked them when I first got them so much, I went ahead and ordered another pair. They are still in the box. Wish there was something to be done about the inside. Don't really know how else to explain what is going on with them.

Great Fit - for me it was better than the 1123 October 25, 2011

I have a narrow heel and the 817's heel is not as loose as the 1123 which also has an SL2 last.
Wears this shoe: Virtually all the time.
