I bought these shoes to wear elk hunting in Colorado this year. I wore these shoes for two months so they would be broken in for climbing mountains this fall. They did not stand up even for the two months. The left shoe came apart at the sole near the left front of my left foot. This is the first pair of New Balance shoes that I have ever had trouble with and I have worn New Balance shoes for a lot of years.

good overall boot. having one side of the tongue open up takes a little getting used to. haven't tried the waterproof feature yet, so can't say if it is true or not. not as comfortable as other new balance shoes that I have had in the past, but a light weight hiker that you can get used to.

11 year old son was going on hiking/weekend camping trip. Boots arrived day he was leaving (my fault). Boot was GREAT for him fit was perfect ordered 1 size up to allow for extra socks. He did not have one blister or irritated spot. Boots held up great for hiking and will be used again and again!

The hooks for the laces should be a little longer it takes a little time to lace up your boots until the laces get trained Other than that they fit like slippers right out of the box.

I normally wear size 11 6E. I have not found any country walker/trekker/hiking type shoes in my exact size with a high top. I ordered the NB MO1500 size 12 4E hoping they would fit. It is hard to get into but once it's on it is comfortable enough. I have ordered some "Yankz" stretch laces to try to make it easier to slip into. I am a senior citizen so boots are not as easy as they once were to get into. I am happy with the quality and appearance of these shoes especially since they are Gortex lined.I previously ordered and returned the Wolverine Meridian Composite Toe Hiker size 12 EW. They were too narrow in the toe because there was no give in the composite toe. I liked those but they will not fit 6E.
Wears this shoe: All around use.
