I love New Balance because they have very wide sizes. This shoe is a 4E but it is not as wide as New Balance tennis shoes.

My friend had a pair of these and liked them for hiking so I thought I'd give them a try. Ordered the size I normally do in other shoes. The biggest problem for me seems to be that the gusset is too constrained for inserting a high arch and wide foot. After struggling to get one foot in it also felt too narrow. I returned them.

Very well made and true to size. With exceptionally wide feet and high instep, this hiking boot is ideal for people with these characteristics. Usual New Balance quality. Would recommend these to anyone! This is not a New Balance issue but covers all laced shoes: the polyester/synthetic laces will occasionally slip/become undone. NOT A NEW BALANCE PROBLEM.
