Men's Stability/Motion Control Running: A highly stable Heritage trainer for runners who require maximum motion control, support and cushioning. Upper: Synthetic/mesh. Provides lightweight comfort and support. Midsole/Outsole: C-CAP® midsole that provides lightweight cushioning and flexibility. ENCAP Midsole in heel with polyurethane rim with C-CAP® core provides stability while maintaining cushioning. ABZORB® Heel and Forefoot provides maximum shock absorption. Graphite ROLLBAR® provides exceptional rear foot stability. TPU Medial and Lateral Post provides exceptional pronation and supination control. Combi lasted.

Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 8 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 8.

I had previously ran in 580's- could not buy them any more. I am 200lb runner an bought pair of 587's on 09-3-12- On a run yesterday the rubber sole on heel came off shoe. I contacted New Balance and they are sending me another pair. I am blown away by poor quality of this shoe. I am glad it did not happen in the half marathon in 3wks. Will try out other brands after race. I would have expected more from for a shoe made for a heavier runner!

I like everything about this sneaker including that it is at least assembled in the USA. It is very comfortable and wears very well.

The fit (1/2 larger than marked) was OK. I wore it with my own insert. I wore it mostly for walking for golf. The big problem is that the soles quickly started to split in the deep grove that goes across the sole in front of the heel. After a few months, the heel area became "hinged" and started breaking loose from the main part of the sole.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've bought, since I have extra wide feet. It's hard to find wide width in my size 61/2 2E. I will be purchasing more.

It is not often I even find a shoe my size (16N). This one fits well. The quality seems to be there.
Wears this shoe: Any time I am just knocking about. As good as it is it wont work with a tux.
