I had several reasons for buying these shoes: - NB offers wide widths for my wide feet; - I've always gotten good service out of my NBs; and- NB is about the only athletic-shoe manufacturer still assembling a good number of their shoes in the U.S. These shoes ARE comfortable.They WERE almost twice the price of my previous pair of (American-made) NBs, but, hey, everything is more expensive than it was a few years ago. So far, okay.The materials and workmanship of these shoes, however, are nowhere near as good as on the 4-5 year old pair I replaced. I know I won't have these shoes as long as I had the previous pair, even at their price.
