These M1010's were uncomfortable to run in. The soles were too stiff and the shoes felt heavy.

I have been wearing this shoe for over 3 years now. I love em! The SL2 last provides a roomier toe box combined with all of New Balance's high tech motion control makes this the most comfortable tennis shoe I have ever worn. It feels like there is someone holding your heal steady as you walk! I have heel pain as the result of a fall. No more pain with these shoes. I am a NB desciple and the 1010 is among the top of their line of shoes. Buy them with confidence. You'll love 'em too. Or don't buy them and leave more for me. I'll need a new pair next year.

I bought this shoe based on the fact that it was recommended for over-pronating runners who need motion control. When I received them I thought they looked a bit clunky, and I became a bit nervous. This being said, I have been VERY satisfied with them. They do not feel heavy, they are very comfortable, and I am less sore than I used to be. In fact, I have been able to dramatically increase my mileage without pain. I will purchase them again.
